Heaters

Heaters are devices installed in the supply part of ventilation systems. Their purpose is to heat the air entering the room, and thereby provide a comfortable microclimate. The heater includes: heating elements, tube sheets, covers with pipes through which the coolant is supplied.

Types of heaters and their characteristics

The appropriate type of units is selected depending on the volume of the room, permissible weight and size parameters, and the planned budget.

Electrical

Electric heaters are easy to install and operate. They are usually used in ventilation systems in which the air flow does not exceed 4500 m3/hour, in rooms up to 150 m2. Depending on the power, this electrical equipment is connected to a 220 V household network (up to 5 kW) or to a 380 V industrial power network (with a power of more than 5 kW). The main disadvantages of electric heaters are the lack of high-power models and significant operating costs. This equipment is usually used for heating private homes, offices, and small retail outlets. It cannot be installed in places where the air is contaminated with acid vapors, explosive and fire hazardous substances.

Mermen

To heat the air entering the room, hot water from a centralized hot water supply system or water coming from a boiler in a private house can be used. There are two-, three-, four-row ones. Water heaters installed in the supply ventilation can provide more power compared to their electric counterparts. They are commonly used in industrial ventilation systems. The disadvantages of water devices are complex installation and operation, risk of defrosting.

Steam

Steam air heaters lead in the speed of heating the air in the room. Their use is economically beneficial for enterprises equipped with steam generators. These devices are reliable and durable. The disadvantages of this solution are the complex installation of the system, the lack of a constant power value, which depends on the temperature and steam pressure.
